MechAssault is an action game set in the BattleTech universe, where human-piloted combat robots dominate the battlefield. Set on the planet Helios in the Inner Sphere. You have to take on the role of an experienced pilot of combat mechs working for the Wolf Dragoons, a famous mercenary organization. Tasked with investigating Helios' sudden silence, players find themselves in the midst of chaos when their ship crashes under enemy fire.After investigating, players discover that the planet has been taken over by the Word of Blake, a radical cult led by Commander Strader. Under the leadership of Major Natalia and with the help of Lieutenant Foster, gamers engage in intense battles against the cult's forces in an effort to free Helios and eliminate its tyrannical ruler. In multiplayer, MechAssault offers fast-paced online play. You can quickly jump into matches with the Quick Match option or tailor your experience with Optimatch by specifying your preferred criteria. You can also create and host your own sessions by inviting friends or opening up access to online competitors. Battles include a variety of modes to suit different play styles. In Grinder, you have to survive waves of enemy mechs both alone and together. Destruction offers intense deathmatches or team deathmatches where victory is determined by the most kills.
