Mighty No. 9 introduces the player to the brilliant mind that created nine models of Mighty robots with exceptional physical strength and agility. Eight of them are infected with a dangerous virus developed by a selfish antagonist, turning obedient machines into enemies of humanity. Immune to universal evil, the ninth bot named Beck, together with his partner Trinity, sets off to cleanse the world of defective brothers.Objectively speaking, Mighty No. 9 is a poorly balanced platformer in a cartoon style, in which too lazy mobs fade into insignificance against the background of level traps that kill the main character in one touch, be it a huge circular saw, a pit with spikes or a conveyor with boxes falling on your head. The developers sought to reproduce the atmosphere of the eight-bit classic Mega Man, refreshing the textures with a three-dimensional design, and adding hardcore. In fact, it turned out to be a walk-through project with a single original mechanic, on which the entire gameplay is based. The robot can use super moves like acceleration and armor-piercing rounds after accumulating a sufficient amount of energy. He receives a charge of the energy scale from the souls of killed enemies. In fact, the protagonist most often uses the so-called dash - a dash, thanks to which he gains the ability to move faster and overcome certain types of obstacles.
