Nanobreaker offers a process where users take on the role of Jake, a cyborg fighter traveling across a huge island. Armed with a versatile plasma blade, the hero maneuvers around the stage using a variety of weapons such as an axe, broadsword and hammer for dynamic combo attacks. A unique feature of this weapon is its ability to change shape, smoothly transforming according to offensive needs. In addition, the plasma blade boasts a grapple function, allowing Jake to trap enemies with a bright blue energy cord. The metallic form isn't just for show; it gives him some great abilities. He has retractable wings that make it easier to glide across the landscape. These wings also act as a restraint, allowing for more powerful combos and devastating finishing moves. The protagonist encounters a variety of mutated inhabitants in the world, collectively known as Orgamechs. These enemies come in a variety of forms, from humanoid figures to insectoid creatures and even canine varieties. A scoring system is used, tracking the amount of blood spilled when an Orgamech is killed. Accumulating blood provides Jake with a significant reward, increasing his health, energy reserves and increasing his maximum potential level for both.
