Ori and the Will of the Wisps continues the story of the original. Ori raises Kuro's owl daughter, Ku, in the forest of Nibel. One day, the friends set off on a journey to Noven, but are caught in a storm and separated. The protagonist must find Ku and at the same time help the new region with its problems. The local Tree of Spirits has died, and a filth called Decay is spreading across the surrounding area. The genre of the project has remained the same. It is still the same metroidvania. In Ori and the Will of the Wisps the world is partially open. It can be explored freely until the hero encounters an obstacle. To go further, you need to find an ability at the other end of the level. For example, learn to double jump, climb walls, dash, etc. p. The terrain itself is diverse. Ori will visit underwater jungles, a desert, a glacier, a mill, overgrown depths. The atmosphere has become darker than in its predecessor. Ori again confronts a giant owl. The antagonist is called Scream. The boss battles have changed in the sequel. Now you need to memorize the behavior of the leaders, and then strike back at the right moment. However, there are also episodes with chases here. The combat here resembles slashers. The protagonist chops enemies with a sword, shoots them with a bow and casts spells. The cute creature has 3 skill slots. They can be replaced directly during fights.Pumping has changed. From now on, the hero searches for mystical fragments in locations and buys skills (both active and passive) from friendly creatures. In the second part, a hub appeared - Spring Fields. This place needs to be developed by restoring houses, cutting down thorns and planting seeds. There, the main character can talk to NPCs. NPCs sell maps and upgrades, teach the little warrior skills and give him secondary tasks. There are also multi-stage quests among them.
