In the center of the plot Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive edition - a small spirit named Ori who looks like a cross between a fox and a white wildcat. Once he got lost, but he was saved by a bear-like inhabitant of the forest Nibel, who became a home for the baby. Now he is killed by the storm and Ori embarks on a journey to kill the enemy and protect the dying forest. He is followed by Sein, a forest spirit. The player controls these two heroes and, with the help of Sein, attacks the enemy. This can be done in three ways: by pressing the left mouse button, X on the keyboard, or the corresponding button on the gamepad.
Character attacks in Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive edition are divided into "spiritual flame" and energy bursts. The first one hits the opponent point-wise, and the second one captures everyone who is in the affected area. Initially, Ori does not know how to attack and moves by jumping, but over time learns to climb walls, dive, move through the air and shoot himself using his own energy. The map is presented in the form of a forest, through which you can walk freely. However, for some locations you will have to open special skills, without them you cannot get into this area.
At the beginning of the game, there are no tutorials or tips and you need to make decisions based on intuition and trying different options. When Sein appears, he will begin to give advice and help in the passage. Initially, Ori has very little health and energy: 3 and 1 cells, respectively, during the game it can be upgraded by increasing indicators. Three paths are available for the development of the hero: combat skills, search for caches and additional skills, for example, the ability to breathe under water. You can pump everything at once.
