Radiata Stories focuses on a living world, replete with non-player characters leading their own dynamic lives, controlled by a day and night system that dictates their daily routine, dialogues and actions, offering a unique level of depth and interaction. A distinctive feature is introduced that allows you to kick almost everything in the environment, receiving various rewards such as items or the local currency, dagols. However, repeatedly kicking NPCs can prompt them to engage in combat with Jack or call guards, giving Jack the opportunity to gain experience, money, and items upon victory without facing dire consequences if defeated. The combat mechanics operate in real-time on a separate screen without a world map, providing direct control over Jack's movements and actions in 3D space. Monsters appear smoothly on the field screen, engaging in dynamic battles. While Jack remains the only character under the user's direct control, the rest of the party is controlled by in-game AI.
