room13 is a game filled with dead people, hardcore, bosses, weapons, humor and masks, like scalps torn from someone's skulls. The character starts each level with cut off rotting flesh instead of his own muzzle and an ordinary pistol. As he progresses, he will encounter zombies, which he can disassemble for organs, and pick up parts of mechanisms suitable for constructing incredibly cool guns. The latter will come in handy for battles with twelve dangerous guards guarding each room. There is a secret hidden in the thirteenth location, but you still need to get to it.In addition to messing around with the undead, you need to avoid deadly traps, trying to use them to destroy enemies. Frankly speaking, during the gameplay you will often have to die, falling into pits, missing ladders, and getting burned by steam. By changing faces, the hero receives certain effects that allow him to endure some of the inconveniences of surviving in death chambers stuffed with stray meat. By the way, about raw flesh: it is here instead of keys. Transition to a new level is impossible without three pieces of mangled bodies collected in different corners of the room.Among the minuses, one can note the monotony of the musical accompaniment, compensated by the general atmosphere and stylish noir design of a modest indie project. Only two modes are available: history and arcade. And sometimes the game kicks up a fuss and suddenly crashes, canceling the gameplay obtained with sweat and blood.
