There are no screamers here, but the title is still able to keep you in suspense.The game has 2 main characters - Harland and Trisha. Roots Of The Woods begins with their meeting, but the plot itself happened before this event. A non-linear plot with several endings concerns the terrible grief of children. The characters' past is revealed as you progress. New acquaintances find themselves in a mysterious Forest, from where no one has ever returned. The actions of a stern man and a little girl entail consequences and affect the world around them.This is a side-scrolling adventure where you need to explore the area and solve puzzles. The puzzles here are not difficult. There is also crafting. The indie product has a lot of dialogue, and all of them are voiced. The adventure can be completed in one or two hours, since this is only the first episode. It is designed for an adult audience due to bloody scenes of violence and foul language. There is also a special humor here that young users may not understand. The developers divided the story into 3 parts and plan to release the remaining chapters. In the current version, the narrative is not finished, and the local lore gives more questions than answers.
