Its inhabitants have gone mad, and the rulers have become obsessed with darkness. The main character will have to explore what is left of the once great city. His path will not be easy, because he will meet many enemies. Among them will be townspeople, creatures of darkness and terrifying rulers - however, the protagonist will also meet those who will help him and become his friend and ally.The developers themselves classify Runewaker as souls-like. The user will be able to explore the world of the game, exploring the plot through clues and messages scattered throughout the levels and locations, as well as use magic in battles with deadly opponents and powerful bosses. In his travels, he will have to visit a variety of places: from city buildings to underground depths. You should be careful, because the levels are full of useful hidden things - finds and shortcuts.The main feature of the project is the use of magic runes. They need to be picked up and used: they are useful both in battle and in solving puzzles, but you have to keep them with you at all times. In addition, the hero will be able to improve his skills for more effective action. The setting of the game universe is made in the Middle Eastern style of dark fantasy, which is emphasized by the music and visual component.
