School Days HQ is a sequel to a series of Japanese visual novels about the everyday life of teenagers. The main character falls in love with girls who are not similar to each other, and the player watches what is happening. When the action comes to a fork, the viewer chooses which way the further plot will turn. The gameplay as such is not in the first place here, and it is even considered that this work belongs more to interactive films. The main part is devoted to the stories and relationships of schoolchildren, and only from time to time the observer also enters the narrative. Unlike most novels in this genre, where text is displayed on the screen, animated scenes are shown here. School Days is known for tragic scenarios, when a sequence of decisions leads to the death of a character. However, there are also happy outcomes, where the characters remain on good terms. There are more such lines: there are 15 happy endings for 3 unhappy endings, in addition, there are alternative branches. The add-on includes an updated dramatic ending. To see all the possibilities, the participant needs to complete the game several times. He can speed up viewing or fast-forward through episodes he already knows. However, he will not be able to think for long: the range of choice is limited. After each turn, the protagonist's attitude towards one of his several companions changes.
