Shapik: The Moon Quest is subtly reminiscent of the quest adventure Samorost in its design and gameplay. Local characters are also mysterious and at the same time simple: they do not need words to communicate - they talk in slides, broadcasting their wishes in the form of clouds with laconic images. The main character named Shapik travels between locations, meets NPCs and fulfills their simple requests for thanks. The gameplay mechanics are standard for the declared genre, and do not bring anything new: a few riddles, a pinch of stealth and the final boss.Lunar Quest tells the story of a brave little man who saves the world on his own. The plot is well-structured: there is a plot, development of the action, a culminating battle and a pleasant ending. The passage does not require the player to concentrate hard or have brilliant deductive abilities. The project is designed for a wide age audience, so even a child can help Shapik protect the planet. In case the gameplay still stalls, the developers have introduced a hint in the interface in the form of a notepad with a magnifying glass. The locations are hand-drawn - brightly, charmingly, in a minimalist style. The musical accompaniment and ambient sounds harmoniously combine with the visual part. The technical execution is rather crude: switching between locations activates the loading screen, and the movement itself resembles overcoming an obstacle course. The player literally has to pave the way for the hero, looking for objects on the screen for active interaction.
