SPECWAR Tactics allows players to test the activity of professional NATO commandos to eliminate terrorist groups. The game is a tactical strategy game where you have to give orders to your fighters on an isometric map. You must select commands and create planned actions that soldiers will perform. Gamers in SPECWAR Tactics will go through a single campaign, where on each level you must sweep the territory from the enemy, using the skills of stealth, maneuvering and aiming fire. You will also have to apply the rules of CQB in order to successfully conduct operations.

Players will have to work out routes and study the terrain to anticipate where the enemy troops are. Gameplay mechanics are confined to programming the actions that the units will perform, without knowing the exact location of the enemies. The main task for the special forces becomes to provide security in the country, which is now in conflict between "rebels" and "terrorists". Users will be able to apply advanced control functionality or choose a simplified mode, where there are tips and automation of some functions. Users get to create their own group by training each character, customizing them, and giving them special skills. After completing the mission, will be able to improve or change the equipment for the characters.
