Stop the Blight combines tower defense with roguelite elements and terrain modification. Gamers build defensive structures on voxel land, which they can change. The goal is to cast spells and reshape the landscape to stop a spreading phenomenon known as Corruption. Resource management and tactical placement influence the outcome of encounters. In Stop the Blight, the battlefield itself is a tool for player manipulation. You can raise, lower, or flatten sections of the voxel environment to create barriers or tactical positions. Shaping the land in this way directs enemy paths to defensive structures. However, Corruption spreads across the map, damaging any towers it reaches, while certain enemies actively expand its area, requiring adaptive strategies as defenses can be compromised.Characters find and apply elemental runes to enhance towers and spell effects. These runes add functions such as burning, slowing down, poisoning and marking to attacks, or improve characteristics, including damage dealt and range. Combining different runes results in unique interactions, allowing for a variety of approaches to threat management during playthroughs. Using magic provides another way to directly interact with opponents or the environment. Each mission in this strategy takes place on a procedurally generated map, offering unique terrain configurations and groups of opponents on each attempt.
