In the Surviving West game, the main character finds himself in the wild world that has survived a global catastrophe. In these conditions, the main task is to survive. First of all, providing yourself with food. To eat, it is necessary to collect plants, fruits, or mushrooms. Meat food, at the first stages, is less available. To catch an animal, certain skills and weapons are required. In addition, the character is also engaged in the construction of a shelter, the search for materials, and other things that are used in everyday life. To get used to Surviving West, the player uses the following methods:

• Agriculture is the simplest and most stable option to provide the body with food. To do this, the character finds plant seeds, makes a fence around the site.
• Hunting - wild animals bring not only fresh meat, but also skins. They are used to make clothes and shoes.
• Construction - the construction of not only residential premises, but also outbuildings. A modular construction mode is presented here. An element of the building is installed - walls, roof, ceiling. This simplifies the task. Opens options for experiments.

The action is carried out from a third person. A location is open for study. Six items are constantly present in the menu. There the player's energy is controlled, the need for food intake.
