The apocalyptic event, nicknamed the Catalyst, led to the fact that the air became unsuitable for breathing. The pathetic remnants of the human race are forced to wear masks. In place of the collapsed governments, new organizations and associations have arisen.The main character of The Evolving World: Catalyst Wake is a child named Oliver Naut. He is eccentric and has nothing but special robotic blades, because he grew up in the Dead Lands - the most brutal part of the collapsed reality. However, he is now forced to team up with the stern and cruel Namo, a seasoned assassin. Their common goal is to prevent the warring factions from capturing robot soldiers, which could lead to the complete destruction of all that remains of the human species. The game is made in the genre of visual novel. The emphasis is on storytelling and character interactions, conveyed through dialogue and different options for choosing in certain situations. What distinguishes this from most similar works is the use of moving sprites, giving the cinematic picture the appearance of a comic book or cartoon.
