The Hong Kong Massacre takes place in the aforementioned city, where the triad war continues to escalate. The player's task is to break through crowds of opponents in various locations. They are equipped with good guns and positions. The key to success is to quickly eliminate them one by one and avoid bullets. The former is aided by several types of modifiable weapons, from dual pistols to automatic rifles and shotguns; the latter is possible thanks to efficient movement (jumping over obstacles, jumping out of windows, off roofs, or falling to the ground under heavy fire) and the ability to activate time slowdown. This is the key mechanism in the game. Only thanks to it will it be possible to pass more difficult levels. An important feature is death from one hit. This applies to both opponents and the hero himself. There are two exceptions to this rule: enemies dressed in body armor die after two successful hits, and bosses that appear at the end of each chapter of the campaign have traditional health bars. The game encourages you to repeat stages to complete the tests. Each level offers three tasks - to complete it in a certain time, not to use slowdown and to show 100% accuracy. Completion of tests is awarded with stars, for which weapons are improved.
