The Last Door - Collectors Edition is an indie horror adventure game developed by independent developers with a solid track record of creating games of varying complexity. Graphically, The Last Door is made in a pixel style with low texture detail, the camera is located on the side relative to all the events shown during the single-player campaign. The setting was Victorian England, an era of secrets, mysteries and conspiracies. A gloomy atmosphere that never lets up for a second accompanies the player through a story that balances between madness and reality. The main character is an educated man named Jeremiah DeWitt. The protagonist receives an alarming letter from his school friend Anthony Beachward. Between the lines, a hidden message can be read, indicating that something terrible and inexplicable has happened. The virtual protégé decided not to hesitate and immediately went to help in the estate that Anthony pointed out in his message. On the way to this building, the hero begins to remember his skeletons in the closet, which were long ago in the past and practically erased from memory. They will become the cause of the misfortunes that are happening in the present time in Jeremiah's life. The game is divided into 4 equal episodes that reveal the general story. A huge number of cut scenes, various locations and all sorts of puzzles will captivate the user for a long time, because the proposed mystical plot will keep you in suspense until the end. In addition to the mansion, the player needs to explore underground labyrinths, forests and the lake shore, residential buildings in a small town and many other areas.
