The story begins in the quiet mining town of Torchlight, whose dungeons are filled with the mysterious Ember ore. Its value can only be compared with its danger - with prolonged exposure, the ore can turn any living organism into an obsessed mutant. The task of the main character is to find out the secret of the origin of Ember and to save the exhausted inhabitants of Torchlight.

At the beginning of the passage, the user can choose the class of the protagonist. The available characters differ in the sets of active and passive skills:

• "Destroyer" - melee master;
• "Conqueror" - archer;
• "Alchemist" - battle mage.

In the process of passing characters, you can pump through 3 available branches, strengthening the indicators of interest and learning previously inaccessible skills.

Also, before starting the journey, the choice of a pet (dog, lynx) is available, he will accompany the main character along the course of the plot, carry and sell equipment and use magical abilities. The main city is filled with side quests, merchants and artisans. On the map, you can find ponds and lakes for fishing, at the bottom of which rare armor, treasure or fish are necessarily hidden. Marine life helps to temporarily turn a pet into a ferocious monster.

The Torchlight "hack and slash" mechanic implies constant battles with large concentrations of opponents. The battle is carried out using physical or magical active skills, some of them require the use of mana.

The RPG has a well-designed dungeon level generation, each time they are randomly composed from small blanks.
