The action takes place in places very reminiscent of one of the countries of the post-Soviet space, where a cruel dictator with a paranoid disorder has been in power for many years. He carries out cruel repressions and keeps society in constant fear. All residents of the country were implanted with a chip for total surveillance of everyone. The main character, whose name is Vlad, also suffered from this regime - he was sentenced to prison for 40 years. At some point, the government needed his help, he was released and instructed to find out about the causes of the disaster in the reactor in the research center, because he once worked there for many years.
