World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth continues to rotate the historical millstones of the world of Azeroth, grinding entire nations on them, and merging eras into eternity. The threat of the Burning Legion invasion has finally been eliminated, and a victory banner has been erected on Argus. However, the triumph is overshadowed by a new full-scale war that broke out between old enemies over the valuable resource of Azerite. In the War of Thorns, Humans and Orcs once again clashed in a bloody battle, forgetting diplomatic agreements. Both sides are obsessed with greed, comparable to the appetites of the demons, which the universe got rid of with great difficulty. Nevertheless, both factions found allies on the islands located in the Great Sea.The choice of races and classes at the start of the game is still diverse:
- Orcs - green-skinned warriors, whose culture resembles Indian customs.
- Humans - blood enemies of the Horde, inhabiting the Eastern Kingdoms.
- Zandalari trolls and Highmountain tauren, who sided with the orcs.
- Dwarves - proud and hardworking mechanics.
- Blood elves - inventive engineers and formidable mages.
- Worgen - renegades of the night elves, in whom the bestial nature of a werewolf prevails.
- Goblins, experienced in engineering.
Also, two new races have been added: mechagnomes - symbiotes made of living flesh and mechanical implants, and vulperas fighting for the Horde. The character level can be raised to 120, turning an ordinary soldier into a terminator in unique equipment. To improve the quality of armor and weapons, heroes mine the mineral azerite, making forays into the wild lands, in the Island Expeditions mode. The second mode - Frontline Battles - is reminiscent of the great-grandmother of modern WOW, the good old real-time strategy. As in the third Warcraft, here you have to gather an army and build fortifications to capture the flag from the enemy fortress.
