Breath of Fire 4 is a sequel to the fantasy JRPG series. The central character that unites all the parts is, as before, Ryu, a representative of an ancient clan endowed with the ability to transform into various forms of dragons. The story begins with the desperate search for the missing princess Elina, conducted by her younger sister Nina and the head of the Vuren tribe, Cray. During the expedition, they encounter a dragon that fell from the sky, which before their eyes turns into a bewildered guy - Ryu. The heroes join forces and continue the journey together. But at the same time, on the other side of the world, the ancient emperor Fou-Lu has risen in his tomb, wanting to enslave the world. And his fate is somehow connected with the dragon boy.In Breath of Fire 4, players will explore a magical world, interact with objects and NPCs, fight monsters and solve simple puzzles. The locations are recreated completely in 3D, while the characters are made in hand-drawn 2D. Battles are played in a turn-based mode. A gamer's squad can contain up to 6 warriors, but only three can actively participate in the battle at a time. At the same time, in each round, you can change the active trio, sending the reserve to restore health and mana. A special feature of combat is the combination of spells, allowing two or more different attacks to cause an additional effect, and, therefore, damage to opponents. Each hero has his own unique skill, which can be used both in battle and in solving puzzles or overcoming all sorts of obstacles on the way. During the passage, you will have to manage not only the group of the main characters, but also the antagonist emperor.
