Gears of War: Judgment retains the signature mechanics of its predecessors, including a third-person view and a reliable cover system, and it adds depth to intense combat clashes. The main narrative unfolds in six separate chapters, and each contains a series of missions. Unlike previous parts, these missions are independent segments of the general story, without the ability to return to previous settings. Players are assessed based on various factors, such as the number of kills, headshot accuracy and punches, and they receive up to three stars for their session. In addition, users can choose more difficult conditions during each mission, setting certain criteria, such as time limits or weapon restrictions, which in turn increases their overall score. Unlocking 40 stars gives access to a separate campaign, Aftermath, offering a continuation of the Gears of War 3 storyline, albeit without the star scoring system or additional difficulty settings presented in the main campaign. The campaign offers a fresh take on the narrative, introducing a short but engaging chapter that builds on the events of its predecessor. This additional content enriches the overall narrative experience, offering fans of the series a deeper dive into the universe. Engage in high-stakes combat scenarios with a dynamic over-the-shoulder perspective and a comprehensive cover system. Progress through a structured narrative by completing missions in individual chapters, each contributing to the overall storyline.
