Arcade shooter Iron Wings tells the story of two pilots during World War II. Emily and Jack received the task of weakening the German radar system. This is the plot: the player will have to participate in many battles, the purpose of which will be pinpoint strikes on Nazi detection sites. The peculiarity of the battles is the need for strategic planning, which will become a determining factor.Aircraft control in Iron Wings is built using two characters at once, each of which acts independently. The player switches between them and completes various missions. Aircraft are equipped with their own sets of equipment and differ in capabilities and functionality. The toolkit includes devices for dispersing radio screens, photographic equipment, additional lighting and other devices necessary in specific situations.Real events were used to develop the storyline. The story begins in New York and gradually the heroes reach the European theater of military operations, trying to find the head of the Ahnenerbe. Active battles will begin with an attack on the Sicilian Peninsula - the so-called Operation Husky. The target of the offensive is Germany, and two friends who went to war together dream of getting to the Reichstag together.
