Quantum Conundrum is a representative of a very rare genre of games in which the user solves puzzles, observing what is happening from the first person. The player takes on the role of a teenage hero who went to the house of his uncle, a mad scientist and inventor - Professor Fitz Quadrangle. As a result of an unsuccessful experiment, the scientist moves to an unknown place, and the player's task is to find him. To do this, you will have to explore his house, start new energy generators and solve dozens of puzzles. As it turned out, one of the ways to solve them is to use an invention that allows you to switch between dimensions. The player starts from a plush dimension, where all elements become light, easy to lift, move or throw. Then a space will be opened in which everything is heavier than usual. After that, a dimension will appear that allows you to slow down the flow of time by twenty times, and finally, the player will have antigravity at his disposal. The first steps after obtaining a certain dimension focus on using only one of them, but over time, a combination of dimensions must be used to solve the problem. The essence of the game is logical puzzles. They require understanding and applying combinations of dimensions in the right order and at the right time. The main mechanism that encourages the player to repeat the passage of the mission is complex statistics measuring the time of completion of the stage, the number of deaths of the protagonist and the search for hidden objects. The graphic design boasts a neat design and original design of the game world.
