Tennis in the Face is an arcade puzzle with a side view and a large number of different levels that fit within the boundaries of one screen without the need to scroll them. Casual control involves only the mouse to control the protagonist for aiming, which shows where the tennis ball will fly, launched by the main character - a white-haired professional athlete who has developed his serve through hours of training. The game has many more than a hundred levels of varying difficulty with points for hitting enemies. The single-player campaign is divided into chapters by the districts of the protagonist's hometown. They are inhabited by various groups controlled by corporate villains - sinister clowns, members of law enforcement, office clerks, ordinary citizens, etc. The final hit on the enemy occurs in slow motion so that the user can fully enjoy the chaos created in the process of clearing the location.
