The Disney Afternoon Collection is a set of 6 games. All of them were based on Disney animated series from the late 1980s and early 1990s. The original versions of the titles were released around the same time. And their release took place on the NES console (popularly - Dendy). The collection is intended to evoke nostalgic feelings in those who remember eight-bit consoles, gray and yellow cartridges, and ancient TVs. The compilation includes both parts of Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers and DuckTales. In addition, there are Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin. Technically, The Disney Afternoon Collection is an emulator into which six ROMs were inserted and beautifully designed. Well, they added achievements, additional materials and other fan service, like the ability to listen to all the music from the projects separately. There is even a museum where you can look at art, sketches and covers. Each title got here unchanged. The games can offer the classic gameplay of old arcades. However, the collection allows beginners or busy people to save at any time (there were no saves in the main versions at all) and rewind time back so as not to waste scarce lives and not start all over again. Chip and Dale and its sequel can be played together from one computer. This is a platformer in which rodents run around human houses and throw boxes at enemies. Due to the tiny size of the characters, familiar objects, like cups and pots, seem huge. Darkwing Duck's gameplay is similar to Mega Man (here you also need to jump deftly and shoot strictly in a straight line). Duck Tales will remind modern gamers of the Shovel Knight, since it is from here that he borrowed the mechanics of jumping and pushing off objects. And Miracles on the Turns is a scrolling shooter with horizontal and vertical scrolling.
