The path - contemplative horror based on the tale of Little Red Riding Hood. The game takes place in our time. The player takes control of one of 6 girls of different ages, whose names symbolize red. Mom of daughters visit grandmother's house, located in the forest. It is noteworthy that the control is realized only through the walk buttons. It is enough to approach the desired objects to start interaction with the object.

Another feature of The Path is the slogan: "Just don't turn off the road." The fact is that if you just walk to your grandmother's house, the game will end immediately. If you turn off the path and enter a dense forest, then the girls must meet their Wolf, symbolizing death. Everyone has his own, depending on bad habits and phobias. For example, one dies from nicotine, the second from a rapist, the third drowns in a lake, etc. Having died, one of the heroines appears in the grandmother's house, but gloomy and abstract, where their life story ends. At a certain moment, a girl comes across in the forest, who can lead the girls back onto the trail. But in this case, the game will not count the conditional "victory".

It is worth saying that the Russian localization tried to beat the names of the girls, since it is difficult to translate them so that the meaning of the red tint is preserved.
